Meet Boyan Liu, a young Chinese artist and a current student in PPES ( Philosophy, Political Science, Economics and Sociology) at Trinity College Dublin
Boyan grabbed crayon first time when he was 3 years old, and never stops drawing since then. He is genuinely passionate about all beautiful things in life: his friends’ cat, his adorable nephew, his lovely auntie, or a random inspiration from a song… but, what makes his art work the most special, is with the plants : Talk with Nature, a series of plant art, truly turning something ordinary into extraordinary.

His artworks beautifully mirrors social sciences by transforming the natural world into a living metaphor for human systems. In philosophy and political science, the deliberate shaping or wild growth of a plant reflects the tension between societal governance and individual freedom. Meanwhile, the interconnected roots and resource-sharing of botanical life perfectly illustrate the core dynamics of economics and sociology, proving that nature and human civilization share the same fundamental patterns of community and survival.
Come to see these amazing art works at Art Source 2026 exhibition, November 13th to Sunday, November 15th, 2026, RDS, Dublin, Ireland.
